At its annual summit in April, Lice Clinics of America® awarded its 2018 Community Caring Award to OneEighty, an organization dedicated to bringing hope, love, and opportunity to people and communities impacted by crisis, poverty, or addiction in the “Quad Cities” area of northwestern Illinois and southeastern Iowa.
“As we look at the support received across nearly 200 Lice Clinics of America locations throughout the U.S., we do not find any other ministry or organization so willing to share their resources with children and families struggling to end the stigmatizing, embarrassing, frustrating cycle of head lice,” said Randy Bakes, Chief Marketing Officer of Lice Clinics of America’s parent company Larada Sciences. “OneEighty has funded solutions for nearly four dozen Quad Cities families to finally find professional relief in one short appointment without toxins or pesticides.”
OneEighty reaches children and families, the homeless, the incarcerated, and seniors with programs that aim to break cycles of poverty and addiction. The organization also works with Lice Clinics of America’s Quad Cities location in Bettendorf, Iowa to help families struggling with head lice find a fast, safe, and effective solution.
