Participating clinics across the U.S. provided free head lice screenings and treatments this past weekend valued at more than $60,000
SALT LAKE CITY, (April 18, 2019) – Lice Clinics of America®, the world’s largest network of urgent care clinics for lice treatment and prevention, helped families find eggs of a different kind during the organization’s fourth annual Great Lice Egg Hunt. On Saturday, April 13, at select clinics throughout the U.S., Lice Clinics of America provided an estimated 1,100 free head lice screenings and treatment services worth more than $60,000, using the clinic’s fast and effective AirAllé technology.
“Hosting our annual Great Lice Egg Hunts each year is a fun way for us to help remove the negative stigma of head lice and provides us an opportunity to dispel myths about how head lice spread,” said Dr. Krista Lauer, medical director of Lice Clinics of America. “In addition to providing free services, families were educated about the lice life cycle, how they spread, and the best prevention and treatment options available to them.”
